What is a Bankers Draft?
A Bankers Draft is a draft where the funds are drawn directly from our business account by our bank and held to honour the draft when you present it to your bank. A draft is certain to be paid and so is generally accepted as a cash equivalent.
I have outstanding finance on my car - how is this cleared?
We raise a Bankers Draft direct to the finance company for the total outstanding finance amount. We give you this draft upon collection of the car for you to post it directly to the finance company. Any additional money over the finance settlement will be paid to you by Bank Transfer or Bankers Draft.
What if my outstanding finance is more than the value of the car?
As above, a Bankers Draft is provided for the full amount of the outstanding finance. Upon collection of the car you will need to give us the difference in cash or Bankers Draft - as agreed with you.
What happens if the V5 registration document is not in my name or I do not have it?
Under normal circumstances we can only purchase cars where the V5 registration document is present and in your name. If this is not the case give us a call and we can discuss your situation.
Do you buy imported cars?
Yes, where the vehicle is registered within the British Mainland.
My car is registered outside the British Mainland - will you buy it?
No.
